Watch Conditions Explained

Each of our watches are graded using one of the following conditions, here is how we categorise each condition.

Unworn

Unworn watches have never been worn and are usually very new pieces, often coming straight from an authorised dealer.

Excellent

Watches rated as excellent have been worn for a minimal amount of time and show no signs of wear to the case or bracelet/strap. These watches have never been polished.

Very Good

Watches graded as very good show very minimal signs of wear and have been lightly polished to bring them up to a very good condition, whilst still maintaining the original charm and features of the watch.

Good

Watches graded as good show some signs of general wear to be expected on a watch, such as the clasp and sides of the case. They are fully functional.

Poor

Watches graded as poor show heavy signs of wear that require polishing/laser repair work, but are mechanically fully functional.

NOS

NOS means a watch is 'new, old stock'. Watches graded as 'NOS' are usually from a previous watch era, often kept locked away, these pieces are in pristine condition and are sold years after they are purchased.

With or Without Box & Papers

The above conditions have no bearing on whether a watch comes with its original box and papers. Please refer to our 'scope of delivery' section on each individual listing to find out what content is included with a specific timepiece.

The vast majority of our pre-owned modern luxury watches come with their original inner and outer boxes, guarantee card/papers, manuals and swing tags. However we still advise checking before making any purchases.
